Purchasing a new pair of eyeglasses can be an overwhelming experience. With so many products to choose from and varying prices, how can one decide?

In this section of our website, we've tried to include an overview of a few of the products commonly available and some of the pro's and con's of each. Please try to remember, that everyone is unique and has varying medical requirements, occupational requirements, visual needs and personal preferences.

The optical industry is like all industry's, there are both good quality products and cheap knock offs. Consumers get what they pay for. Its important to realize that the purchase that you are about to make may have to last 2-3 years, and you have to wear it every day.

Your eyeglasses are often the first impression that people get about you. We often spend more money on items that we rarely use, or are disposable, rather than those that affect our daily lives. Ask yourself these simple questions: How many pairs of shoes do you own? How many pairs of pants? How many shirts? How much did that last bottle of wine cost you? How much did you spend on your last dinner out? How much extra did you spend on your car to get that new navigation system or fancy rims and tire package? Often when we compare these values to the cost of our new glasses, the glasses seem insignificant. Also, what other purchase this year will impact your daily life as directly as new clear glasses.
